Scrutiny of the M&V reports has been completed and finalization of evaluation is under process. Initial estimates indicate a cumulative saving of about 1.28 MTOE from sectors namely Cement, Iron & Steel, Thermal Power Plants and Textile. 17 Financing 2 grading agencies Grading of Energy Efficiency Projects To grade Energy Efficiency projects 1) BEE has empaneled CRISIL and SMERA in Nov 2022 2) BEE had signed MoA with IREDA and YES Bank in 2021. SIDBI also signed MoA in Feb 2023. 3) 22 Banks/NBFCs may take benefit of grading of EE projects, who are also registered on BEE’s facilitation Centre. 4) In 3 workshops these Grading Agencies interacted with stakeholders. Recently, interest from FI/industries has been received for grading of approx. 8 projects. 1. Grading of Energy Efficiency project launched in September 2021. 2. Interest from FI/industries has been received for grading of approx. 8 projects 3. BEE has given in principle approval to SMERA for preparing a grading report for ESCO project.
18 Energy Efficiency Financing Facility – to set up Facilitation Centre BEE 1.To establish IT platform of Facilitation centre 2. To forward 175 EE projects to FIs till April 2023 1. To create IT platform and take inputs of FIs and industries 2. To forward 50 EE projects to FIs for financing. 1. BEE has released list of 151 EE technologies for financing till March 2023. 6. In Q3, three webinars/workshops were organized where 250 participants from SDAs, large industries, MSMEs, ESCOs participated. 1. BEE appointed Darashaw and Company Ltd for setting up the facilitation center 2. Till date 22 FIs have been registered with Facilitation centre 3. More than 200 willingness forms have been received with project size more than Rs. 3000 crore and out of that 110 EE projects have been forwarded to FIs for financing 4. BEE has released list of 151 EE technologies for financing till March 2023. 5. Total 11 webinars/ workshops have been conducted where more than 1100 participants from SDAs, large industries, MSMEs, ESCOs participated.

In order to provide handholding/support to DISCOMs in Union Territories towards compliance of Energy Audit Regulations for DISCOMs, meeting held with DISCOM of Dadra & Nagra Haveli on 4th Nov 2022 and a workshop was also organized at NPTI Bangalore on 17th and 18th Nov 2022. 6. An interaction session was organized on 21.12.2022 with Central Zone DISCOMs (13 DISCOMs) to discuss the issues related to Energy Accounting and Energy Audit. 14 Financing 3 grading agencies have been empaneled Grading of Energy Efficiency Projects To grade Energy Efficiency projects 1) BEE is in process of empaneling 2 grading agencies i.e. Crisil and SMERA 2) 21 Banks/NBFCs have been registered for taking benefit of grading of EE projects on facilitation Centre. Recently, interest from Fl/industries has been received for grading of 2 projects. 1. Grading of Energy Efficiency Project launched in September 2021. 2. 3 stakeholder meetings were organized in November 2021 and since June 2022 BEE has conducted 8 awareness workshops and 3 investment bazaar events where information of grading programme was disseminated. 3. 2 Implementation of Perform Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme Bureau of Energy Efficiency Energy Savings Target: 23 Million Tonnes of Oil Equivalent (MTOE) Demonstration of Energy Management System for PAT Sectors. Multimedia tutorials for demonstration of Energy Management Systems for PAT sectors have been developed by BEE. Total Energy savings of about 22 MTOE has been achieved with implementation of PAT cycle –I and PAT cycle –II translating into avoiding of about 70 million tonnes of CO2 emission.
3 Implementation of Perform Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme Bureau of Energy Efficiency Energy Savings Target: 23 Million Tonnes of Oil Equivalent (MTOE) Initiation of the work of conducting Potential Assessment Study In order to assess the energy saving potential in the old DCs under PAT scheme, RfP for engagement of agency for conducting the same in the sectors namely Cement, Pulp & Paper, Textile, Chlor Alkali and Aluminum was initiated. Total Energy savings of about 22 MTOE has been achieved with implementation of PAT cycle –I and PAT cycle –II translating into avoiding of about 70 million tonnes of CO2 emission.

2 Implementation of Perform Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme Bureau of Energy Efficiency Energy Savings Target: 23 Million Tonnes of Oil Equivalent (MTOE) Assessment of savings from implementation of PAT cycle -II Implementation of PAT cycle –II has resulted into energy savings of about 14.08 Million Tonne of Oil Equivalent (MTOE) and corresponding CO2 emission reduction of about 70 million tonnes Total Energy savings of about 22 MTOE has been achieved with implementation of PAT cycle –I and PAT cycle –II translating into avoiding of about 70 million tonnes of CO2 emission.
3 Implementation of Perform Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme Bureau of Energy Efficiency Energy Savings Target: 23 Million Tonnes of Oil Equivalent (MTOE) Commencement of PAT cycle -VI PAT Cycle –VI has commenced from April 2020 in which 135 DCs have been notified with an overall energy saving target of 1.277 MTOE. Total Energy savings of about 22 MTOE has been achieved with implementation of PAT cycle –I and PAT cycle –II translating into avoiding of about 70 million tonnes of CO2 emission.

The process of Monitoring & Verification was commenced therafter.
